LAST ALMAVIVA AT AUDITORIUM DU LAC, LUGANO

From 3 to 9 September 2018 Gioachino Rossini’s masterpiece the Barber of Seville will be performed at LAC under the direction of Maestro Diego Fasolis and with a set design by the director Carmelo Rifici.
A co-production between RSI Radiotelevisione svizzera, LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura, LuganoInScena, LuganoMusica.

The production is part of the commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the famous musician’s death, and the original scores have generously been made available by the Fondazione Rossini in Pesaro.

The superb cast includes Edgardo Rocha as Count Almaviva—a role that has taken him to major theatres around the world and that he is performing for the last time here in Lugano; there is also Giorgio Caoduro as Figaro, Lucia Cirillo as Rosina, Riccardo Novaro as Bartolo, Ugo Guagliardo as Basilio, Alessandra Palomba as Berta, Yannis Vassilakis as Fiorello, Alfonso De Vreese as Ambrogio, and Matteo Bellotto as the officer.
